My daughter was born in Andhra Pradesh in 2007 and studied in Hyderabad up to 2nd class. She studied from 3rd class to 6th class in the US and moved back to India and continued from 7th to 10th in Hyderabad again. She passed out of 10th in March 2022. After finishing her 10th, she moved back to the US in September 2022 and studied 10th again due to age constraints in the US before moving back to India in 2023. She finished her 11th and 12th class in Hyderabad and attempted NEET 2025. She has continuous education certificates in Hyderabad from 7th to 12th class but has a year gap between her 10th and 11th class. My questions are does she qualify as a local for the Telangana state for the 85% state quota. As she studied 10th class in the US again but that certification isn't of use anywhere, what is the best option for her to considered under the state quota. Does she require any gap certificate or any official authorization between her 10th and 11th and if so what is the best procedure to get it?
Ans: BE TRANSPARENT AND GUNUINE. DONT TRY TO TAKE SHORTCUTS TO OBTAIN A DOMICILLE CERTIFICATE. THIS CONCERNS YOUR YOUR DAUGHTER'S FUTURE.

Regarding your query about the domicile certificate, she needs to prove that she has been residing in that particular location for the last seven years. However, in your case, she has only been present for six years, as she went to the U.S. in between. If this was on a tourist visa, that might be acceptable, but if you obtained a green card or another type of visa during that time, you should have supporting evidence.

Based on this information, it appears that you may not be eligible for the domicile certificate. It might be better for her to seek admission through the NRI quota. However, never resort to shortcuts. Remember, in today's India, traceability is very easy.

I'm preparing for Neet and wanted to take a drop but my parents wanted me to do something with it like a partial Drop......And right now I'm totally confused what to do and what not.........i think I should take BSC zoology in private colleges , can anyone suggest me something..........
Ans: Hi Prirhvi,

Based on your query, there are two main issues to consider:

1. You want to take a break (which may be partial or full).
2. You want to pursue a BSc in Zoology.

Before making any decisions, take some time to think and analyze your situation.

Firstly, evaluate your marks in the HSC and your recent NEET exam scores (if you have appeared for NEET 2025). If you have completed both exams, focus on turning your weaker subjects into strengths. Be prepared to answer any questions someone may pose. Without this preparation, taking a break may not be effective.

Secondly, if you decide to take a gap year, you should not also consider studying another course concurrently, as this could divert your attention and hinder your main goal. Remember, undergraduate courses are semester-based, meaning you will need to manage both NEET preparation and your regular UG courses (including internal exams, semester exams, etc.). Juggling both can be quite challenging.

If you believe it is possible to manage both, I suggest that instead of choosing Zoology for your UG, you consider subjects like Chemistry or Physics. These subjects are foundational and can be better understood through regular UG coursework. Therefore, you should not worry too much about that particular subject. However, it’s not advisable to select Zoology and take a break for NEET preparation at the same time. If you have doubts in Physics or Chemistry, you can seek clarification from your lecturers.

In summary, my suggestion is to concentrate on one goal and work towards achieving it.

Is B.A.M.S good option in place of mbbs
Ans: Hi Chandra,

Many students show interest in writing the NEET exam primarily to add "Dr." as a prefix to their names. This profession not only offers a prestigious title but also provides financial stability throughout their lives, unlike many other career options. This is a significant reason why students and their parents are choosing medical courses.

If you're considering the prefix "Dr." before your name, you might also want to explore courses in Indian medicine.
The following are courses offered under Indian Medicine:

1. Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS)
2. Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS)
3. Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS)
4. Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS)
Let us compare the basic differences between MBBS and BAMS so you can decide what you want.

What are the advantages of Ayurveda over Allopathy?

While Allopathy focuses on treating symptoms, Ayurveda aims for holistic treatment. The only drawback is that Ayurvedic treatments may take a bit more time. If you decide to pursue a Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), it's essential to learn about the concepts of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha (VPK). Every individual is unique, and understanding their VPK balance is key to providing effective treatment. If you can identify which dosha is predominant in a patient, you can tailor treatments accordingly, leading to greater patient satisfaction.

Given these factors, I suggest that pursuing BAMS could be a good option instead of MBBS.

I am preparing for NEET UG. This is my second attempt. What alternatives I have if I am not able to score for GMCs. What are my options for bio tech I didn't apply for cuet. Which are best colleges for b tech in bio technology and how can I seek admission there without wasting any more of my time.
Ans: Hi,

I believe you might have completed the NEET for the second time on May 4, 2025, is that correct? What score are you aiming for? If you achieve a good score, you can aim for GMC; otherwise, consider any of the following courses:

- BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery)
- BSMS (Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery)
- BUMS (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery)
- BHMS (Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery)
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery)
- BNYS (Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yogic Sciences)

All of these courses are quite good.

Regarding your second query: Apart from NEET, you can pursue Pharmacy, Nursing, or Medical Lab Technology (MLT) instead of Biotechnology. Once you complete any of these programs, you are likely to find a job quickly. The order of preference I would recommend is Nursing, Pharmacy, and then MLT.

If you are still interested in Biotechnology, some private institutions offer the course. Before enrolling, it’s advisable to visit the campus and check the infrastructure as well as the syllabus. Many programs focus on botany-related aspects of biotechnology rather than human and animal applications. If you pursue Microbiology, you may have better job prospects.

In addition to health-related fields, you may also consider pursuing agriculture-related courses.

Since you did not provide information about your locality, I cannot comment on the best institutions available in your area.

can i get admission in NFSU through jee mains score only ? because i gone on NFSU admission portal link for B.Tech-M.Tech Integrated program in Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security) but they asking about NFAT exam
Ans: Hi,
I apologize for any confusion, but I want to clarify that when the government asked for our support of the ONE NATION ONE CARD system, we did not accept it. Similarly, everyone is required to open a savings account at a bank, and many of us expressed our discontent. However, we can see the positive changes happening in India. If we support the government, they will reciprocate by providing benefits to the citizens.

In terms of education, the government is attempting to implement a new education policy, which has proven to be quite difficult. The education system has changed significantly before and after the pandemic. Now, the government is working on new policies that align with those of developed countries.

Therefore, we cannot expect the ONE STUDENT ONE EXAM system from the government at this time, as it is not included in the current guidelines. Each council or organization has its own set of guidelines, and synchronizing them will take time. At this moment, it is simply not feasible.

The NFAT exam is different from the JEE. In the case of the JEE, they did not notify the aspirants that they are eligible to apply for NFSU, and similarly, NFSU did not mention that JEE rank holders could also apply. Therefore, if you want admission to NFSU, you need to register and appear for the NFTA.

In the near future, we can expect the ONE STUDENT ONE EXAM system from this BJP government for the benefit of younger generations. For the benefit of postgraduate aspirants (for all courses except a few professional ones), the NTA is organizing the PGCUET exam nationwide. In this exam, you can opt for up to four different courses based on your eligibility.

A similar exam pattern is needed for engineering and medical fields as well. As I mentioned, we can expect this change; however, we, as citizens, should offer moral support for the benefit of younger generations. Unfortunately, we often do not provide this support to the government. For example, in the NEET exam, many aspirants do not follow the guidelines even when appearing for the exams.

Hello sir I have taken a 1 year drop for neet 2025 from pw online . But now I am scoring only 300 in neet .Now i am very confused what to do should I take one more drop or chose any option. This time i want to join offline coaching and really want to work hard but afraid that the coaching centre after knowing my marks will give me their worst batch so what should i do ?
Ans: Hi Ritika,
You mentioned that you scored only 300 in NEET. While we can't make any judgments until the official results are published, I must say that a score of 300 is quite low.

If you're planning to reappear for NEET, that's a good decision! However, I understand you might be worried about the coaching classes placing you in a less suitable batch. I recommend attending for 2 or 3 days while attending the coaching just follow the below instructions.

Make a list of the subjects and chapters you find challenging. Discuss these areas with your coaching faculty and aim to ask at least 15-20 questions daily to clarify your doubts and enhance your understanding. Additionally, request tips and tricks for each chapter so that you can put in a lot of effort to reach your goal.

Alternatively, you can prepare 10 questions on your own and seek answers from your coaching faculty. If you maintain this practice throughout the course, you'll build your confidence, and the coaching staff may consider changing your group due to your proactive approach in asking questions.

Through NEET, you can also pursue other medical-related courses such as BAMS, BSMS, BHMS, BYMS, BNYS, and BDS.

If you don’t have confidence in yourself, you might consider dropping NEET and exploring other courses. However, I encourage you to take one chance and follow my suggestions.

Additionally, if you are not already practicing yoga and meditation, I recommend starting. These activities can help you concentrate better and reduce distractions while studying.

Best of luck!

Ans: Hi Ritika,
Good decision! Offline coaching is far better than online coaching because it allows you to focus on your studies more effectively.

You mentioned that you need to crack the exam, so here are some tips on how to do that:

First, identify which subjects and chapters you find challenging and make a list. Discuss these areas with your coaching faculty. Aim to ask at least 10 questions daily to clarify your doubts and enhance your understanding.

Alternatively, you can prepare 10 questions on your own and seek answers from your coaching faculty. If you maintain this practice throughout the course, you will build your confidence.

Additionally, if you are not practicing yoga and meditation, I recommend starting. These activities can help you concentrate better and reduce distractions while studying.

Hello Sir My son has got admitted to CSE AIML in IEM kolkata through IEMJEE.I want to know what kind of addition certification courses can he do from 1st year itself online to enhance his placement opportunities.
Ans: Hi sir,
INTELLIGENCE VS AI
Your son has been accepted into the Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (CSE AIML) program. CONGRATS.
This is a fantastic course with great potential for his future. However, it’s important for him to understand the difference between intelligence and artificial intelligence (AI).

For instance, the current generation may not be aware of the Y2K issue, while those of us who lived through it remember it well, though it may have been forgotten over time. Everyone knew that humans, with their HIGH intelligence, developed new systems called computers (utilizing MACHINE LEARNING) that can be operated through various programming languages (such as C, C++, Pascal, Fortran, and COBOL—related to DEEP LEARNING). The programs (CODING / ALGORITHMS) are designed to perform a wide range of tasks.
A lot of changes have occurred since then—that's normal—and the terminology has evolved as well.

To get to the point: even though we have a high level of intelligence and created AI systems, we became confused by the Y2K issue. The reason for this confusion was our failure to recognize what we had programmed into the systems. A common principle is: "GARBAGE IN GARBAGE OUT." The system operates based on the coding, programming, and algorithms we provided.

In the case of Y2K, many believed that systems might fail after the year 2000; however, that didn’t happen because we programmed the year as "2000," not "00." Despite widespread fears of a collapse, companies began marketing products to profit from the situation.

So, there's no need to worry about his future. Encourage him to start and continue with the course to grasp the fundamentals. He should focus on understanding the differences between the various programming languages in the curriculum, learn why older languages have been phased out, and analyze their advantages and disadvantages. This will greatly benefit him moving forward. Based on current trends, he could consider taking additional courses after his second year.

I believe our kids can achieve great things; they just need our motivation and a bit of pressure to succeed. If he has joined a reputable institution, encourage him to collaborate with other departments—this could lead to remarkable outcomes.

SUGGESTION: It’s better to let him learn C and C++ because these languages will not be available in the curriculum. As soon as he joins the degree program, they will most likely teach Python and Java, not C or C++. So let him learn C, C++

Wishing him all the best in his future endeavors!

Sir I am feeling very uncertain about my career, i am very much interested in medical field, i gave my HS in 2024, this is my 1st drop for neet, i tried a lot but due to family issues and negativity i couldnot do well, neet is jst after 5days , but my syllabus not yet done, mock test are not good, but still i want to pursue medical field ans study in a government medical college, i know where my preparation was lagging{my class 11 12 were weak, those who taught me they all jst told m,e "u cant do anything " and leave and never used to teach properly but i did everything by my own , and then took drop but i how to prepare in a coaching class i didnt know all network isuues for almost 6months ,but i keep on doing and now i am standing in a uncertain phase where i still want to become a doctor, i dont have anproblem in studying those again but the problem is what others will say , its like a fear, as even though my parents enrolled in a coaching online previous year but they also sometimes used to say that i should have also enrolled i a college, its a fear, so my question is this path really for me? should i take a partial drop and go for neet 2026 too, {dob: 14/10/2005}.....i feel like hopeless , but still want to follow my dreams, is this possible?
Ans: Hi,

Before I address your query, please avoid mentioning your date of birth on social media; it's not necessary at this point. However, I noticed that some other details are missing.

In addition to the educational concerns, it seems like you may have a bit of a psychological issue in that you tend to worry excessively about others. This mentality is quite common in our country. Prior to the NEET exam, entry into the medical field, specifically for MBBS and BDS, was mainly reserved for aspirants with high marks. Additionally, those with significant wealth could gain admission through management quotas or at times via NRI quotas. However, the situation has changed completely after the introduction of NEET.

As you know, the major advantage of NEET is that the marks aspirants score in their HSC examinations are now less relevant. Candidates from any part of the country, of any category or state, and even those taking the exam for a second time can attempt NEET, regardless of their HSC performance. If aspirants have talent, they can succeed in NEET, which provides a standardized syllabus across the nation. So, even if you are currently struggling with your HSC studies, you can still perform well on the NEET.

Apart from percentile scores, various factors will influence admission, including community status, creamy or non-creamy layer, physical challenges, and more.

Therefore, NEET is the best solution for aspirants, and you can take the exam as many times as you need.

There are no barriers to preparing for the exam, so please go ahead.

You mentioned that you feel weak in the subject and have difficulty concentrating. I suggest starting yoga and meditation. By practicing these, you'll be able to relieve stress and work towards achieving your goals.

Regarding your desire to enter the medical field (I believe you want to become a doctor), is that correct?

If so, in addition to MBBS, there are other medical courses known as Indian Medicine, including BAMS, BHMS, BSMS, and BNYS. If you find MBBS challenging, consider focusing on these options as well. Many people have started to embrace Indian medicine after the COVID pandemic, so it’s not a problem at all.

Prepare for NEET 2025, analyze your situation, and send your details to the Rediffguru. We can discuss this further.

Wishing you all the best!

Hello sir .I attempted neet 3times in 2022 I scored 605,then 585 in 2023 then I joined bsc Life science and again prepared scored 652 in 2024 but due to scam everything messed up I was not attending my bsc classes from sem-2 which gave me a back .clg told me to re enroll as ex student but I thought to give neet once again.Intially I didn't knew that the spark has left I was tired .Now I don't have confidence though I am studying but I don't have that spark I used to have .What should I do sir plz help me out . My mother told me to prepare for some other government job exams if I didn't get selected this year .plz help
Ans: Hi Abilasha,

A score of 652 in NEET is no joke. Have you checked what went wrong in that exam? Analyzing your performance is essential.

I think you may not have had the moral support you needed, which is why you chose to pursue a BSc. It’s challenging to juggle multiple tasks, such as preparing for NEET while attending a regular course. Nowadays, there are many distractions like friends and social media, not to mention the plethora of advice and predictions from the media that can feel overwhelming. There isn't a one-size-fits-all solution; it varies from person to person. We humans are unique and shouldn't simply follow what others say.

Your goal is to become a physician, and that should be your main focus. I noticed that you didn’t mention which specialization you chose for your BSc. If you had selected subjects related to NEET—like Chemistry, Biology, and Physics—you could have focused on them without needing to study the same topics separately and could have dedicated more time to the other subjects.

In recent years, we have started to encounter these kinds of entrance exams and experiences, and we still need to go through exit exams.

So, don't let anything worry you. Focus on one task at a time and complete it. I believe you are capable of accomplishing your goal this year.

ALL THE BEST.
